High School Diploma or GED; plus one (1) adult mental health experience required. Preferred - Associate Degree (Certificated Nursing Assistance (CNA), Medical Technicians (Med Tech.) /or related certified professional. College degree may replace experience requirement.
Psychotherapeutic Services is looking for positive, compassionate, hard-working, dedicated employees to provide Direct Care Services to assist persons with chronic mental illness to live independently in the community.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Community Living Specialist is in constant face-to-face contact with persons diagnosed as chronically mentally ill. Services and work assignments are primarily in a Community based requiring travel to their homes. The Community Living Specialist’s goal is to increase the persons’ capacity for independent community living, through medication management, support, rapport, role-modeling, teaching, and the provision of activities and learning experiences. The Community Living Specialist consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in the performance of the duties of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
