Ready for a challenge? If you are a motivated, experienced, innovative Community Living Specialist , this may be the job for you! Seeking a 'go getter' to join the Psychotherapeutic Services Team.
POSITION SUMMARY
Facility based, the Community Living Specialist is in constant face-to-face contact with persons served primarily in a Residential setting, but may also be assigned tasks and functions in a Day program setting covering vacancies or absences as required. The Community Living Specialist’s goal is to increase the persons’ capacity for independent community living, through the establishment of support, rapport, role-modeling, teaching, and the provision of activities and learning experiences. The Community Living Specialist consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in the performance of the duties of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED; plus one (1) adult mental health experience required. Preferred - Associate Degree (Certificated Nursing Assistance (CNA), Medical Technicians (Med Tech.) /or related certified professional. College degree may replace experience requirement.
