Psychotherapeutic Services is seeking a candidate for a unique opportunity to serve as the primary resource regarding substance use/addictions disorder.
- Provides individual, group and family counseling to persons served for recipient to achieve and maintain rehabilitative, sobriety, and recovery goals.
- This is intended to meet the mental health or substance abuse needs of adults who have significant functional impairments that seriously interfere with or impede their roles or functioning in family, school, or community.

The below listed tasks and functions are representative of those performed by an employee of this class. This is a representative listing only, and not all-inclusive.
- Completes assessments, interviews, and contacts persons served per contract.
- Provides individual, group and family counseling for persons.
- Works with the persons served to plan, advocate, and monitor needs of the recipient.
- Provides support and assistance to persons to assure continuity of care.
- Assists persons to become independent and make efforts towards recovery & rehabilitation.
- Evaluates and monitors persons’ behaviors, applying evidenced based interventions in accordance with training and credentials.
- Documents all interactions, observations, assessments, plans, etc. Completes paperwork, forms and reports as assigned.
- Develops service and treatment plans, goals, outcome measures, and time frames.
- Refers persons for services as appropriate.
- Coordinates/monitors medical & psychiatric needs.
- Performs Record Notation/documentation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Full certification as a certified alcohol and drug Counselor (CADC) in the State of Delaware; or full certification by a nationally recognized body in addictions counseling or co-occurring counseling; or five (5) years of clinical experience working in the field of substance abuse treatment.
