Qualifications
Applicant should possess an associate’s degree with one-year experience or have a minimum of 4 years experience in an equivalent role. Person must have police and DHS clearance. Additional requirements include: a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of individual families, the ability to engage and maintain clinical relationships with families, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other providers, effective interpersonal communication skills, the ability to assess and intervene within complex family and community systems, and a willingness to be flexible, patient and creative.
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for daily front office operations, performing a wide range of duties both administratively and in support of clinical staff. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for customer service, reception/waiting area as well completing claims processing.
Specific Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional atmosphere for consumers checking-in and in waiting area
- Process Service Activity Logs and coordinate the claims process
- Complete supply orders for department
- Maintain compliance with filing of clinical information
- Process intake packets
- Answer phones and complete scheduling when requested
- Maintain psychiatrist calendar
- Complete word processing tasks when directed
- Ensure all mandated and necessary brochures and literature are provided to consumers and available
- Knowledge of clerical systems, implementation of office procedures as well as an ability to provide instruction to staff specific to office operations
- Must be flexible and possess an ability to quickly adapt to changing policies, procedures and daily tasks
- Provide assistance with audits
- Competency with computer skills and relevant technology
- Possess an ability to identify potential problems/barriers to operations and provide solutions
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and planning skills
- Operate as a team member and representative of PsyGenics, Inc.
- Follow PsyGenics, Inc. professional code of conduct
- Represent PsyGenics, Inc. in the community
- Must be available evenings and occasional weekends
- Perform similar or related duties as assigned
