What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Business Partner position at PT Solutions Physical Therapy?
The Human Resources Business Partner contributes to company performance by providing tactical and strategic consulting on people and organization development strategies in support of the business objectives. Performs HR related duties at the professional level while supporting more than one functional group. Will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations consultation; policy interpretation and application, performance management and consultation; compensation management; talent acquisition; and talent management consultation. May carry out additional responsibilities to include organizational design; employee development initiatives and training.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and customer service focused. This position requires a high level of organization and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time. The business partner must be able to interpret and communicate organizational and HR policies. The business partner must be able to ensure compliance with practice standards and foster a culture rich in positive employee satisfaction and engagement within the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Partners with leadership to align HR strategy to business strategy.
- Acts as change agent to business through process design and approaches that support change and transformation – striving to lead mutual processes to best practice status.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR peers to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Interprets and communicates HR policies and procedures for employees and management.
- Provides day-to-day coaching to leadership on a variety of actions to include employee relations issues, policy interpretation and application, talent management and development, exit evaluation, and organizational design consultation, ensuring consistent and equitable treatment of employees.
- Provides assistance to employees in resolving day-to-day HR related issues.
- Assists the payroll department with reviewing payroll reports and audits changes to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Partners with Payroll and Benefits functions as needed to provide solutions for leadership and employees.
- Engagement: partners with leaders and managers to develop and implement action items to ensure a high level of employment satisfaction, improve working relationships, and increase productivity and retention.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Credentials:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field is required.
- 3 - 5 years of Human Resources experience required; multi-site support and healthcare experience preferred.
- Up to 10% travel

- Proven strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including employment law & compliance requirements

- Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues

- Ability to set high personal goals and work independently
- Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Proven acuity in MS office suite
Required Competencies:
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with senior management, internal and external business contacts.
- Ability and willingness to accept responsibility and the desire and capability of motivating and directing the activities of others.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.
- Ability to deal in a high-pressure environment (occasionally in a crisis situation) and render good decisions to resolve the problems.
