What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst position at PT Solutions Physical Therapy?
The M&A Analyst will be a key member of the M&A team and play a prominent role in supporting all aspects of PT Solutions’ inorganic growth strategy,
from acquisition sourcing to deal completion. The M&A Analyst will have significant exposure to executive leadership and work cross-functionally with
relevant departments, primarily the Growth, Business Development, and Finance teams, to advance acquisition processes and other growth initiatives of the
company.
This is a hybrid role here in Atlanta at the Battery.
Essential Functions
- Perform initial assessment of potential acquisition opportunities, inclusive of financial, valuation, and strategic analyses
- Conduct market research to assess and identify acquisition targets
- Maintain and update acquisition database and current status of all opportunities
- Assist in the management, organization, and execution of diligence process of potential acquisitions
- Prepare internal materials summarizing due diligence findings for deal approval
- Participate in weekly business development strategy sessions
- Assist with the strategic planning process, development of presentation materials for the executive management team, and other ad hoc projects and initiatives
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to work across functions
- Strong organization and project management skills (ability to manage multiple projects at once)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
- Highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Healthcare experience preferred but not a requirement
- Experience in valuation, corporate finance, leveraged finance, and/or acquisition due diligence processes
Required Credentials
- Bachelor’s Degree (Finance or Accounting degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of work experience (investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or accounting transaction advisory preferred)
