Job Summary:
Reporting to the Corporate Engineering Manager, the Plant Engineer takes leadership for the Plant building, grounds, equipment, systems, and utilities to ensure their proper operation and maintenance. This person works closely with Engineering personnel throughout the company to make improvements in the Plant. The Plant Engineer also provides support to the Maintenance organization when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leading/supporting capital equipment/development projects
- Working with Projects Engineers to improve quality, runtime, and throughput from systems/equipment
- Supporting the Maintenance Organization when needed
- Selecting and monitoring contractors providing services
- Writing requisitions/purchase orders for services and equipment needs
- Monitoring utilities and working with providers
- Providing compliance with cite, county, state, and federal agency requirements
The incumbent is expected to understand that all employees have a shared responsibility for the quality of products and related services provided to our customers. Duties and responsibilities are to be carried out in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies, procedures, and work instructions as applicable to the job or function being performed.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Years of Experience: 7 years minimum

Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- Good understanding of basic machinery
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- CAD skills with a good understanding of dimensioning & tolerancing is a plus
- Programming skills with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens systems is a plus
