Auto Mechanic Technician – Join Pittsburgh Transportation Group!
Pittsburgh Transportation is on the lookout for an experienced Auto Mechanic Technician to handle daily maintenance and repairs for our fleet of company vehicles. This role operates Monday through Friday, from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 30 PM. A Pennsylvania CDL license, State Inspection License, and the ability to pass a DOT physical are required.
Position Overview as an Auto Mechanic Technician :
As an Auto Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our fleet is in optimal condition by performing interior and exterior repairs, services, and routine maintenance, ensuring our vehicles are always ready for reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities as an Auto Mechanic Technician :
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, battery checks, and equipment lubrication.
- Inspect and adjust protective guards, belts, and safety devices on vehicles.
- Examine brake systems, steering mechanisms, and other critical components for proper functionality.
- Carry out timely vehicle inspections and services to maintain fleet reliability.
- Complete necessary repairs to keep vehicles operational and safe.
- Oversee vehicle recovery procedures as needed.
- Perform road tests to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues.
- Ensure vehicle updates and repairs comply with specifications.
- Maintain tools and workspace in a neat, organized manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
