Routing Dispatcher – Join Pittsburgh Transportation Group and Make a Difference!

Company Description : Pittsburgh Transportation Group is seeking a part-time Routing Dispatcher to join our Shuttle Transportation division. This role is essential for ensuring our shuttle services run smoothly and efficiently, making a significant impact on our customers’ daily lives.

Shift :

  • Part-time : Monday to Friday, 3 : 00 PM to 8 : 00 PM

Position Summary : As a Routing Dispatcher, you will be the backbone of our shuttle operations, supervising drivers, buses, and services on-site to ensure everything runs seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities as a Routing Dispatcher :

  • Coordinate Services : Oversee the coordination of transportation services to ensure efficient operation.
  • Assist On-Site : Provide support to drivers and passengers with any questions or concerns.
  • Customer Experience : Ensure a safe, positive, and friendly experience for all customers.
  • Effective Communication : Report any service delays or disruptions to dispatch promptly.
  • Incident Response : Quickly respond to accidents, breakdowns, or other incidents affecting service.
  • Additional Duties : Perform any other tasks as assigned to keep operations running smoothly.

    • Qualifications as a Routing Dispatcher :

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience : At least 1 year of supervisory or dispatch experience, or equivalent management experience.

    • Skills & Abilities as a Routing Dispatcher :

  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
  • Proficient in using push-to-talk devices.
  • Comfortable using an electronic tablet.

    • Certificates & Licenses :

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • CDL with Passenger endorsement preferred.
