What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping/Receiving Technician position at PTI Engineered Plastics Inc?
Duties:
- Preserve accurate inventories for all Finished Goods, Subcontractor, and Sub-assemblies.
- Maintain organized, accurate Finished Good, Sub-Assemblies and staging areas, while maintaining lot number traceability and FIFO inventory.
- Ensure that the right product is shipped to the right customer as per the shipping schedule.
- Accurate receipt of incoming product as per receiving instructions.
- Perform routine cycle counting activities along with preservation audits as directed by Warehouse Manager.
- Affirm all materials are properly identified, packaged, and stored in specific uniform manner within its proper area.
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year forklift experience
- 3 years Shipping and Receiving in a Manufacturing environment
- Highly motivated and detail oriented
- Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word
- Epicor software knowledge a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read, sort, check, count, verify numbers and perform simple arithmetic
- Familiar with international shipping compliance a plus
