- Lead activities for assigned project in accordance with PTIs QMS procedures.
- The PM will drive the project through developing and tracking project timelines, leading technical reviews, maintaining quality requirements and commercial contract oversight.
- The PM will lead and manage all changes to the program scope after program award. This includes working with the Estimating team on developing quotes and coordinating with the Account Manager to submit.
- As leader of the development team, the Program Manager is the primary point of contact for all internal and external communication. The PM will be responsible for keeping status reports and program documentation current.
- As the primary point of contact with our customers during the launch process, the PM has a significant impact on our customer’s perception of PTI. To maintain the highest level of satisfaction, in addition to delivering products that perform as promised, when promised, the PM should always be attentive, responsive, courteous, and professional.
- The PM, as the primary point of contact, is responsible to interface with customers during technical discussions to ensure the success of a project.
- As part of the responsibility of assuring the program progresses according to schedule, the PM will work directly with vendors, customers, and internal team members. If the PM is not able to resolve issues, he/she is responsible to escalate to senior management for resolution.
- The PM will facilitate problem solving sessions as needed to ensure issues are being addressed in a systematic and timely manner.
- Assist in complying with company policies and facilitating continuous improvement of policy where appropriate.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent years of experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in injection molding tooling and manufacturing as a Program Manager, Project Engineer, Design Release Engineer, or similar.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers, suppliers and coworkers within Manufacturing, Tooling, Accounting, Purchasing and Sales.
- Computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
