Your role as a Buyer III
As a Buyer III at PTI Technologies, you will take charge of managing the procurement of goods and services essential for production within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your role will encompass leading New Product Introductions (NPI) and executing purchasing functions across complex commodities. You will utilize your expertise to analyze bids, prepare purchase orders, and communicate effectively with both suppliers and internal customers, all while working independently.
Key responsibilities include managing MRP action messages, expediting suppliers to align with production schedules, and negotiating the best terms based on PTI's objectives. What we're looking for in a Buyer III
To thrive as a Buyer III at PTI Technologies, a strong foundation in both technical knowledge and interpersonal skills is essential. Candidates should possess a BA/BS degree with a minimum of 8 years of actual buying experience in the aerospace manufacturing environment or 10 years of related experience. Familiarity with various manufacturing processes, including castings, forgings, CNC, and other operations such as anodizing and heat treating, is crucial. Strong language skills are necessary to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and produce professional correspondence.
Adept mathematical skills are essential for calculating business formulas and applying algebraic concepts, while analytical reasoning abilities will help in navigating complex problem-solving scenarios.
