Make a difference as a Director of Finance & Accounting

As the Director of Finance & Accounting at PTI Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the CFO with essential monthly reporting requirements and in-depth financial analysis. Your expertise will guide all financial planning activities, providing critical insight to assist management in making informed decisions. You'll oversee the Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting teams, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and fostering a culture of excellence. Essential duties include preparing forward pricing rates, supporting audit requests, and contributing to the organization's 5-year strategic plan. You will conduct variance analyses, review overhead rate performance, and proactively seek methods to minimize financial risk.

By interpreting complex financial information and conducting special studies, you will make recommendations that drive profitability improvements and enhance working capital strategies. Your leadership will be vital in developing the accounting team and ensuring compliance with SOX and audit requirements while supporting continuous improvement efforts across the organization.

Would you be a great Director of Finance & Accounting?

To excel as the Director of Finance & Accounting at PTI Technologies, a strong blend of education, experience, and skills is essential. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree, with a CPA preferred and an MBA or graduate-level business degree highly desirable. The role requires a minimum of five years of senior-level financial management experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent qualifications. Proficiency in language skills is vital to analyze business documents, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations and effectively present information to various stakeholders.

Strong mathematical skills are necessary for applying concepts like ratios and percentages to real-world financial scenarios. A capacity for reasoning is required to define problems, analyze data, and derive valid conclusions. Candidates must exhibit strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including advanced features like pivot tables and macros. Familiarity with ERP systems, including Oracle, is a plus.
