As a Material Handler (2nd Shift) at PTI Technologies, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by efficiently operating forklifts and delivering both production and non-production materials to staff as needed. Your responsibilities will include stocking shelves, pulling kits, filling orders, and maintaining accurate records and logs. You will read work orders to determine materials to be moved and perform various inventory transactions on a PC, ensuring the accuracy of our shipping and receiving processes. Loading and unloading materials onto pallets, trays, and shelves will be an integral part of your daily tasks, as will using UPS and FedEx online systems. Additionally, you will ensure safe transportation by securing materials in vehicles and counting inventory to verify stock balances.

Your expertise in lifting heavy objects, cleaning work areas, and packaging items will enhance productivity and uphold our commitment to excellence in the aerospace industry.

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, alongside one to three months of related experience. Proficiency in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos is crucial for navigating our warehouse operations effectively. Strong mathematical skills are required, enabling you to perform basic operations such as addition and subtraction using units of American money and weight measurements. Additionally, your ability to apply common sense reasoning will help you tackle challenges and adhere to detailed instructions.

Familiarity with software tools for inventory management and shipping logistics will enhance your performance, ensuring that you contribute effectively to our production processes. Good communication skills, enabling you to present information clearly in one-on-one or small group settings, will further support your success in this dynamic role.
