What are the responsibilities and job description for the MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Day shift position at PTI?
JOB PURPOSE
- Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes.
KEY DUTIES
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance, and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Required to be able to physically perform constant movement and bending along with frequently lifting to 75 lbs.
- Perform other duties as instructed by Maintenance Manager, or as may be necessary to maintain efficient operations
- Monitor all machines and equipment to ensure the requirements are being met in accordance with established guidelines.
- Record daily machine check sheets and report adverse trends or concerns to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Maintain clean housekeeping guidelines while repairs are being completed
- Initiate and recommend solutions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities or unsafe conditions.
Skills and Experience:
- Five Years of Manufacturing Maintenance
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience with operating forklift and crane equipment, electrical, hydraulically and Pneumatics
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proven Safety Record
- Microsoft Office skills
