Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload items, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Ensure all deliveries are made on time while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during each delivery, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products as required during deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
- Experience in moving and handling heavy items safely.
- Proficient in driving various vehicles, including vans and box trucks.
- Familiarity with operating a pallet jack for loading and unloading goods.
- Ability to lift heavy objects as part of the delivery process.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
