PTR Baler and Compactor (PTR) is seeking an Industrial Engineer to play a key role in the definition, development, implementation, and on-going improvement of the manufacturing automation process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support production with troubling shooting and set up of new automated assembly.
- Manage and program current/new robotics equipment to perform automatic welding and spray painting.
- Design work cells, tool organization, time studies following lean principals.
- Provide technical support for robotic systems.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers and operations team.
- Lead efforts to identify and integrate automation solutions.
- Leverage deep expertise in manufacturing processes and cost structures to inform decisions that improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Program, integrate, and validate/verify new manufacturing equipment.
- Write, test, debug code that controls and monitors automated processes.
- Models, tests, and measures output and data to analyze performance or quality issues and develop solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or electrical engineering, robotics programming certification preferred.
- 5 plus years of industrial automation and controls engineering or related experience, industrial manufacturing preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- A deep understanding of control systems, PLC programming, HMI design, and other automation technologies
- Experience with CAD software for designing and simulating automation systems, preferably SolidWorks.
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming; Preferably C/C .
- Must be detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and have strong time management skills.
