PTR Baler and Compactor (PTR) is seeking a Stockroom Supervisor.
PTR is a world leader in the waste equipment industry, and manufactures and services balers, compactors, and provides parts and resources to customers.
The Warehouse Supervisor’s primary role is to assist the Warehouse and Logistics Manager in leading warehouse operations, including stockroom; shipping and receiving groups, and coordinating all transportation and logistics services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively supervise the receiving, warehousing, and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service level objectives and cost objectives.
- Monitor compliance to corporate safety and security policies.
- Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning to ship and receive products in a productive and cost-efficient manner.
- Monitor compliance to inventory accuracy, discipline, and integrity of the inventory.
- Generate Cycle Count Report and investigate/resolve discrepancies between inventory records and actual counts.
- Monitor activities, anticipate, and recognize potential problems.
- Enforce safety/security protocols and ensure compliance with all material handling to comply with company health and safety programs and policies.
- Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly.
- Ensure all associates are trained and following all standard operating procedures.
- Manage operational resources daily as needed to meet production demands.
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
- Support a continuous improvement mindset to improve processes and behaviors.
- Performs other related duties as directed by the Sr. Warehouse Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse/ distribution environment.
- Familiar with warehouse safety best practices
- Knowledge and understanding of transportation industry and inventory control terminology and documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time-management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of material handling systems and procedures best practices.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications, inventory software, and ERP systems.
