Job Description:
The candidate in this role will support the Chemical Management Office objectives of Chemical Regulation/Legislation “antenna” function
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveil, Analyze, and summarize the critical material or chemical substance related regulation and legislative activity.
- Coordinate the surveillance and broadcast of critical material or chemical substance related legislation and regulation to the business
- Create and distribute Chemical Regulatory Notices (CRN) or “news alerts” to key internal stakeholders.
- Input regulatory/legislative summaries into internal company software.
- Using various tools, coordinate the tracking of substances being pursued by local and global regulatory or legislative bodies throughout the regulatory/legislative timeline.
- Potential future collaboration with other client global affiliates, such as in Canada.
- Occasional special projects may be requested, depending on available time.
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working with consumer products industries, especially complex durable goods industries.
- Working knowledge and understanding of global material or chemical substance regulations and legislations which may impact the auto industry.
- Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills, such as issuance of reports to communicate technical matters to stakeholders.
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), adobe acrobat
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Problem solver with a customer-first approach and excellent interpersonal skills
