What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics position at PTR Global?
Job Description:
- This Senior Manager role will fill the gap between tactical doing and day-to-day and longer-term vision planning done at the director level.
- Engage with senior leadership often and lead those conversations moving forward.
- This Senior Manager does still include individual contribution (as does Director), so we need our teams to be well versed in both SQL and Power BI.
- You will be directing others more often than doing work yourself, however, it’s important to have enough knowledge to at least troubleshoot with their direct reports along the way. At this level, it’s most important that you know the theory and best practices of data management, prep, aggregation, etc. for SQL and data visualization in Power BI.
Are any projects in flight that this person will jump into?
- There are many projects in flight, but the biggest thing is immediate support shifting our interaction model with stakeholders, which is really a cultural shift for us. This combined team of Marketing Analytics and Insights is about 3 years old, and we’re currently mapping our next 3-5 years with leadership – our next step in our evolution is pushing our stakeholders to be more comfortable with self-service analytics for lower risk, lower priority decisions so we can deliver stronger managed-service deliverables on higher risk, higher potential reward asks from the business.

Tools:
- SQL is critical for data
- PowerBi is a must
- R or Python would be a plus but not required
- Must have a digital analytics platform like Google or Adobe
