Our client, a leader in the aviation space, is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join their team on an ongoing contract basis in Downtown Chicago. In this role, you will be supporting the ‘shop team, and working closely on design for flight purchasing for both the app and .com site. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site and includes health benefits.
Job Description
- The Senior UX Designer will help lead the design and definition as a key contributor to the Core UX team, responsible for integrating human-centered practices in unpacking and improving the digital customer experience across all stages of the travel journey.
- The Core UX team supports defining the client’s digital product strategy and providing the leadership to execute on that strategy with the help of a cross-functional mission-based teams.

Visualize ideas using professional design tools as well as sticky notes, sketch boards, whiteboard markers or whatever tools are necessary to rapidly work through ideation and move to the next stageInitiate and respond to ideas for innovation / improvements based on research, analysis, and competitive reviewsIdentify user needs and business requirementsSubstantiate design approach with analysis & projections for improvementsDESIGN & REFINE
Ensure digital customer touch points become and remain consistent with the client’s user experience and brand standardsDevelop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactionsDrive the design of next generation, navigation schemes, patterns, components and templates across the company’s products, insuring a consistent, appealing, and dynamic customer experience.Create low and high fidelity interactive prototypes adhering to a rapid, iterative and collaborative processWork with usability researchers to design test plans and iterate designs throughout user testing. Translate usability research findings into design improvements.DEFINE & COMMUNICATE
