Mechanical Machine Assembler

PTR – Precision Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Mechanical Machine Assembler to join our Manufacturing Team. This position is responsible for mechanical assembly of machine tool equipment. This role is a critical member of the team working on machine builds of cutting-edge electron beam welding systems.

Responsibilities:

· Mechanical assembly of machine tool equipment and fabrication.

· Fabricates and assembles components using blueprints, operating sheets, and sketches of average to complex.

· Performs sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and carpentry for skidding.

· Uses precision instruments for measuring and alignment of tooling.

· Sub-assembly valving for vacuum systems, tables, runouts.

· Leak checking of vacuum chambers.

· Provides assistance to operators with mechanical problems.

· Performs general, light maintenance around the building.

· Some travel is required.

· Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 5 years of relevant experience required

· Mechanical aptitude

· Ability to perform basic plumbing skills

· Experience with fine measuring instruments

· Working knowledge of hand and power tools

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Ability to pivot as priorities shift

· Ability to problem solve

· Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
