Job Description:
As an Electrical CAD Technician, you will work closely with technical teams including detailers, designers, and engineers to create top-tier design solutions. You will assist in the preparation and revision of engineering drawings for various projects and help ensure that our designs adhere to company and client standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Revise Drawings: Assist with the creation and revision of electrical plot drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Adhere to Drafting Standards: Ensure all drafting tasks are completed according to company, client, and discipline-specific drafting standards and procedures.
- Assist in Design and Documentation: Support drafting design efforts and assist in the documentation of project details.
- Use Drafting Programs: Utilize standard drafting detail programs to assist in design tasks, ensuring high-quality and efficient outputs.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing drafting detail improvement initiatives to enhance quality and efficiency in design.
- Problem Solving: Research project concerns and recommend solutions to resolve design challenges effectively.
- Ad hoc Projects: Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers and contribute to the team’s success.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as needed, in alignment with company policies and standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma/GED with coursework in drafting technology, or specialized CAD certification is required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle design challenges.
- Software Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Self-Motivated Learner: Eager to learn and grow within the field, with a strong desire to develop your career in CAD design.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located (no work sponsorship required).
