What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Quality Assurance Specialist position at PTS Advance?
At PTS Advance, we are seeking an experienced Construction Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee our quality inspection operations.
This position requires strong knowledge of construction testing procedures, field-testing equipment, and applicable civil/structural/mechanical inspections. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with project managers, construction managers, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Lead all quality construction activities using contract specifications and ensure compliance with regulatory code requirements.
- Inspect the quality of various civil elements, including concrete, asphalt, anchor bolts, and grouting.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of company quality control programs, standards, procedures, and codes.
- Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work.
- Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records, and other related items.
The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in support of design-build construction testing, inspection, supervision, or management, preferably with EPC experience. They should also possess strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office suite.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Able to work outdoors for extended periods in varying temperatures and conditions.
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings as required by the project schedule.
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day.
