Responsibilities:
- A Site Contracts Manager oversees contract management and administration at construction or project sites, working with teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure contracts are executed properly and in compliance with standards.
- The Contract Management role includes developing, negotiating, and managing contracts for construction, procurement, and services, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.
- This position involves Vendor & Subcontractor Oversight: establishing and maintaining relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring contractual obligations and project timelines are met.
- Risk Management is crucial, identifying potential risks related to contract execution and developing mitigation strategies to protect project integrity and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget & Cost Control: monitoring contract budgets, approving expenditures, and managing cost variations while ensuring financial guidelines are followed.
- Compliance & Legal Coordination: ensuring all contracts comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies, and collaborating with legal teams to resolve disputes.
- Documentation & Reporting: maintaining accurate records of contracts, amendments, and approvals, providing regular reports on contract status, financials, and performance metrics.
- Stakeholder Communication: collaborating with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and senior leadership to align contract strategies with project goals.
- Change Management: managing change orders, claims, and contract modifications, ensuring they are properly documented and approved.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in contract management; preferred 12-15 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, law, or a related field; a professional certification in contract management or law (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager - CCCM) is a plus.
- 7 years of experience in contract management, with a focus on construction or project sites.
- Prior experience in biomass, renewable energy, or heavy industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of contract law, construction contracts, procurement procedures, and risk management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Working Conditions:
- The role may involve on-site visits and require travel depending on the project location.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
