Job Title: Site Contracts Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee contract management and administration at construction or project sites.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure contract execution meets legal and company standards.
Contract Management Tasks:
- Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts for construction, procurement, and services.
- Evaluate compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Vendor and Subcontractor Oversight:
- Maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations and project timelines.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks related to contract execution.
- Develop strategies to protect project integrity and cost-effectiveness.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Monitor contract budgets and approve expenditures.
- Manage cost variations while ensuring financial guidelines are met.
Compliance and Legal Coordination:
- Verify all contracts comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Collaborate with legal teams to resolve any contractual disputes.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of contracts, amendments, and approvals.
- Provide regular reports on contract status, financials, and performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in contract management; 12-15 years preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration, law, or a related field.
- Professional certification in contract management or law (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager - CCCM) is a plus.
- 7 years of experience in contract management, with a focus on construction or project sites.
- Prior experience in biomass, renewable energy, or heavy industrial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of contract law, construction contracts, procurement procedures, and risk management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The role may involve on-site visits and may require travel depending on the location of the project.
