Mechanical / Piping Designer

Description:
Mechanical / Piping Design position will entail the development of piping and mechanical construction packages along with all subsequent support documentation. Work will not be limited to but will include P&ID drawings, Piping routing and Isometrics, equipment and Support layouts, per Refinery Design Specifications. Individual should be able to perform field walk downs and verify work prior to design and participate and lead all levels of drawing package reviews. Drawings will be developed utilizing AutoCad and administered to contractors via Refinery protocol.
This position will also interface with engineering firms to support external design efforts at the refinery. Work will include: Assisting with locating reference drawings, ensuring submitted packages meet design requirements and ensuring proper submission of final deliverables.
Experience
At least 8-10 years with a minimum of 3 in a refinery or heavy industrial plant environment
Candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD, Cadworx, Navisworx and Microsoft Office applications
