Job Description : Planner – Maintenance
Location : El Dorado, AR (ONSITE)
Position Type : Contract to hire
JOB SUMMARY
The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner is an integral part of the Leadership Team and is an organizational peer and partner of Maintenance Supervisors, Reliability Engineers, and Operation Supervisors. They are jointly responsible for the tasks required to ensure effective capacity utilization, reliability, and life cycle asset management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent
SAP Scheduling experience (preferred)
Planning and / or Scheduling Experience (preferred)
Four (4) or more years Oil & Gas or related experience (Required)
No License or Certification Required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ensures that safety is considered in development of every Work Plan.
Detailed work planning to accurately predict duration, labor requirements (including outside services), materials needs, and tool needs for all future work where planning is deemed necessary.
Detailed work planning of PM / PdM Work Plans. See RAMS PM / PdM Work Plans for details.
Updates Bill of Materials information for each asset within their area of responsibility.
Determines appropriate level of planning for each new routine Work Order.
Able to master SAP for the Maintenance Work Process; prior SAP experience is a plus.
Working knowledge of Engineering, Health, Safety, Environmental, Process Safety Management, and Mechanical Integrity standards and procedures.
Assigns proper CMMS coding during planning phase.
Creates Purchase Requisitions for planned work to include services and materials.
Supporting responsibility within the Work Scheduling function of the refinery.
Owner of the Work Plans; responsible for communicating Work Planning Package information to Maintenance Supervisor
Develop and maintain a task list library in SAP for repeatable maintenance tasks.
Critique and update task lists for completed jobs based on feedback from Work Execution Crafts and Supervision; proactively seek feedback from the Work Execution Team. Accepts ownership; is self -accountable and delivers on commitments. Self-starter requiring minimum supervision; can and will work semi-autonomously; understands and follows Maintenance Work Process design, intent, and protocol to the fullest extent possible. Team Player who engenders trust.
Team with Schedulers to understand how planning affects scheduling
Able to interpret Plot Plans, P&ID’s, Isometrics, Equipment Specification Documentation, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word : strong computer skills
Excellent organization / time management skills
Demonstrates written and oral communication skills
Accepts feedback and offers feedback with an attitude for improvement; coachable
Handles turmoil and confrontation in a professional manner : transforms chaos into order
Execute assigned work process responsibilities at or by the prescribed times and as designed .

Develop a working knowledge of PM Planning fundamentals
Collaborates with site management, contractors and technicians regarding the maintenance schedule and findings
Communicates with all levels of Maintenance, Operations, and Reliability organization abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice on matters outside of own knowledge and authority
