Project Engineer
Our client is an EPC contractor specializing in the installation of utility and industrial process infrastructure including substations, power generation, industrial process facilities, and renewable fuel projects. The company utilizes a motivated team of in-house subject matter experts, construction managers, project managers, engineers, and project staff to manage the execution of the engineering, procurement, and construction of various projects. Currently the company is planning, negotiating, and executing EPC contracts for large electrical infrastructure projects, including HVDC substations, and complex industrial projects.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
We are seeking a Project Engineer who will be instrumental in supporting our engineering and management project team. The main responsibilities include coordinating with team members, processing documents, maintaining key project management tools, and providing various support functions to ensure the successful execution of projects within our utility and industrial projects. The project engineer supports all phases of project execution from front end studies through project completion.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Support the engineering managers’ coordination and review of our subcontractors’ tasks, identifying design issues, and monitoring progress of all process deliverables and activities and ensure that reports, plans and other deliveries are compliant with all project contract documents and requirements.
- Facilitate communication and alignment across the project team, including engineers, managers, and external stakeholders
- Support the management and processing of project-related documents
- Maintain and update key project management tools, such as, project schedules, and task lists.
- Assist in various support functions, including scheduling meetings, preparing detailed project reports, and tracking progress.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards
- Identify potential issues within projects and work proactively with the team to develop and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools, with a focus on enhancing efficiency
- Provide technical support for utility and industrial projects as required
- Ensure that reports, plans and other deliverables meet the project requirements. When necessary, maintain client provided standards on deliverables
- Participate in Client coordination meetings
- Performs any other duties assigned
- Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
