Job Title: Senior Estimator - Global Cost Estimating Organization
Location: Houston, TX, 77060
Duration: 16 months
Position Overview:
The position is within the Global Cost Estimating Organization and is responsible for estimating total installed capital costs for Process Gases plants including Blue and Green Hydrogen facilities, Air Separation Plants and Packaged Plants for projects in Europe and Africa on both a Sale of Equipment and Sale of Gas (Build, Own, Operate) basis with plant values from $10m to in excess of $1bn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates (AACEI Class V to Class II) for Process Gases and Hydrogen projects.
- Collaborate with Proposals, Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, and Construction teams to align timelines and deliverables.
- Review technical scope and challenge elements for consistency.
- Evaluate procurement pricing, subcontract bids, and lead negotiations.
- Analyze estimates, establish benchmarks, and prepare risk analysis with contingency recommendations.
- Mentor junior estimators and ensure estimate quality and integrity.
- Present cost estimates to senior management and business leaders.
- Coordinate with multinational teams and contribute to global estimating efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field (AACEI certification preferred).
- 10 years of estimating experience, ideally in Process Gases or related sectors.
- Expertise in AACEI Class V to Class II estimates and modular estimating.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with global teams and managing cross-cultural dynamics.
