Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Site Lead/Supervisor to oversee the operations and maintenance of utility-scale solar power plants. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy systems, troubleshooting, and maintenance, with the ability to lead a team while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of utility-scale solar power plants, ensuring compliance with established standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain plant performance.
- Utilize testing equipment (e.g., multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps) to troubleshoot electrical components and ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all work performed, including work orders, service reports, and time logs.
- Manage and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Supervise and provide training to the site team, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections, including mechanical and electrical checks, to maintain the optimal performance of the plant.
- Track inventory levels of equipment and materials to ensure adequate stock for ongoing maintenance needs.
- Coordinate and manage the plant’s vegetation control program (e.g., mowing and spraying).
- Be available for on-call service duties, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License is required.
- At least 3 years of experience as an Inverter Specialist or Solar Technician, with a strong understanding of DC array technology and renewable energy systems.
- Proficient in performing electrical troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics, and using diagnostic tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs. and perform necessary manual tasks.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Salary : $30 - $45
