POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Agent ensures safety and provides surveillance of PTS cultivation and production facility by patrolling the property; monitoring surveillance cameras; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. The Security Agent also prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities to management and informing management of violators of state standards and policies set by PTS. The Security Agent operates under the Transportation & Security Manager through policies and procedures established by PTS and regulations of state and local governing bodies and contributes to the implementation of new or changing policies and procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS

Two years of experience providing security and surveillance. Must be able to follow strict operational guidelines and security policies. Security Agents are expected to follow PTS’s and State regulations, policies and procedures at all times.

CORE JOB DUTIES

• Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance cameras; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry into gate and building.
• Check all doors throughout the facility to ensure they are properly locked throughout the day.
• Complete nightly facility security checks and tasks to ensure property is secure overnight after closing facility.
  • Check that all doors are locked
  • Activate alarm systems
• Obtain help by sounding alarms in emergency situations.
• Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
• Control gate traffic by screening drivers, directing vendors to proper drop off location and opening gate.
• Check in all visitors and employees at the front door:
  • Scanning the visitors ID, having them sign in/out on the Cultivation Visitor Log and distributing a Visitor Badge.
  • Check FA cards of employees arriving to work or returning to work from breaks or lunches.
  • Maintains continuous visible presence to perform surveillance of guests and employees for theft.
• Reports and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of all security activities in accordance with the state and standards set by PTS.
  • Notify the Manager or police immediately in an emergency.
• Ensuring ice for employees is stocked.
• Must be work closely with the safety committee to ensure all safety concerns are reported and handled.
• When necessary, assist the cultivation department:
  • Transplants, loads, unloads, nets, and performs any additional work needed throughout the cultivation process according to PTS Corp. procedures.
  • Carries out day-to-day plant care, including watering, pruning, harvesting, and trimming.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SKILLS

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Accurate data entry and record keeping. Experience with security and surveillance systems. Thorough understanding of state cannabis policies and laws. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. Ability to make decisions as necessary, with oversight when needed. Proficiency in Windows-based software and Internet navigation.
