Who We Are
Public Allies’ mission is to create a just and equitable society and the diverse leadership to sustain it.
Through our signature AmeriCorps program, Public Allies identifies talented emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds and prepares them for careers working for community and social change. In our 10-month apprenticeship program you will work full-time for a non-profit or civic organization addressing critical community issues. You will also develop your own interpersonal skills through regular leadership training delivered by local leaders.
You’ll gain valuable leadership skills, receive personalized coaching to pursue your career goals, build relationships with a diverse network of local leaders, and participate in a national movement of leaders working for change.
We anticipate having 22-25 positions available. Apprenticeships typically start in September and last for ten months from the start date. Interviews begin in May and continue through July. Visit our webpage at https://PublicAlliesCFL.org/ to learn more about us.
Program Benefits
- Work full time at a non-profit or public entity for 10 months expanding that organization’s capacity to meet its goals for the community.

Successful Candidates
Public Allies Central Florida is searching for people who have a strong desire to give back to their community, have a passion for social justice and want to work towards making change happen in their communities. Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 18 years of age or older
- Commit to a 10-month full-time term of service
