The Office of the Chief Operating Officer, located in Washington, D.C., has a position for an intern on its Facilities and Operations team. It is expected that this position may primarily work from the Washington, DC, Charlotte, NC, or Irvine, CA office.
The intern will work with Facilities and Operations staff across a variety of disciplines to include events management, facilities management, construction management, and safety and security management. The intern will have an opportunity to enhance their knowledge by working in a number of areas across the Facilities and Operations team.

What We Offer
- Undergraduate students: $25.00/hour
- Graduate students: $29.00/hour
- Ph.D./JD students: $37.00/hour
- Hybrid work option – Staff will be assigned to one of our offices, including: Washington, DC (Headquarters); Irvine, CA; or Charlotte, NC office or location. Staff can choose to live and work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at the frequency required by their supervisor. Travel to an assigned office or location for commuting purposes will not be considered reimbursable business travel, unless otherwise required by state law. Business travel is reimbursable in an amount not exceeding the cost to travel from the assigned office or location, unless otherwise required by state law.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and collaborate with building management and vendors.
- Conduct research to support Facilities and Operations work.
- Assist with planning for meetings and events.
- Support ongoing Facilities and Operations initiatives.
- Provide support to Facilities and Operations team on a variety of projects.
- Gain an overall understanding of the PCAOB and our mission.
Education/Technical Expertise
- Completion of at least one year of coursework and current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited university.
- An interest in events management, facilities management, construction management, or safety and security management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work as a team member.
- Ability to be flexible, work independently and be self-motivated.
- Dependability a must.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
