The Office of the Chief Operating Officer (OCOO), located in Washington, D.C., has a position for an intern in its OCOO administrative office. It is expected that this position may primarily work from the Washington, DC or Charlotte, NC, office.
The intern will work with OCOO administrative staff across a variety of disciplines (Human Resources, Finance, Technology, Strategic Planning, and Facilities and Operations) to include but not limited to administrative support, project support, event planning, and communications. The intern will have an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of OCOO responsibilities and requirements by working in a number of areas across the OCOO.

What We Offer
- Undergraduate students: $25.00/hour
- Graduate students: $29.00/hour
- Ph.D./JD students: $37.00/hour
- Hybrid work option – Staff will be assigned to one of our offices, including: Washington, DC (Headquarters) or Charlotte, NC. Staff can choose to live and work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at the frequency required by their supervisor. Travel to an assigned office or location for commuting purposes will not be considered reimbursable business travel, unless otherwise required by state law. Business travel is reimbursable in an amount not exceeding the cost to travel from the assigned office or location, unless otherwise required by state law.

Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis to support OCOO work, compiling and reviewing data to make recommendations on practices and processes.
- Collaborate with OCOO staff and assist with planning for OCOO meetings and events, including preparing talking points and materials used at the events.
- Support ongoing OCOO initiatives and provide support to OCOO on a variety of projects, including drafting communications for OCOO and staff and preparing project and communications plans.
- Gain an overall understanding of the PCAOB’s mission and functions within the OCOO.
- Completion of at least one year of coursework and current enrollment in a degree program at an accredited university.
- An interest in business administration and communications.
- An interest in emerging and innovative communication methods, (i.e. Powtoons) and a working knowledge of SharePoint Online.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to work as a team member.
- Ability to be flexible, work independently and be self-motivated.
- Dependability a must.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Salary : $25 - $37
