The PCAOB is seeking highly motivated individuals to support the Office of Enterprise Risk Management (OERM) for a summer internship. Successful candidates will provide support to the PCAOB’s OERM team. The OERM is responsible for the development, analysis, and documentation of an Enterprise-wide Risk Management (ERM) Program to include assessments, policies, procedures, and recommendations including business continuity, business resiliency, physical and information security, risk management, compliance and ethics.
Interns will provide support to OERM by assisting management with the collection, organization, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to collaborate on the development and execution of the PCAOB’s enterprise risk management program, including risk assessment, data gathering, risk heat maps, dashboards, and development of policies.
As an intern in OERM, you will have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the ERM discipline while also developing your analytical skills.

What We Offer
- Undergraduate students: $25.00/hour
- Graduate students: $29.00/hour
- Ph.D./JD students: $37.00/hour
- Hybrid work option – Staff will be assigned to one of our offices, including: Washington, DC (Headquarters); Ashburn, VA; Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; Denver, CO; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Tampa, FL; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; Philadelphia, PA; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX office or location. Staff can choose to live and work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at the frequency required by their supervisor. Travel to an assigned office or location for commuting purposes will not be considered reimbursable business travel, unless otherwise required by state law. Business travel is reimbursable in an amount not exceeding the cost to travel from the assigned office or location, unless otherwise required by state law.

Responsibilities
- Collect, clean and organize qualitative and quantitative data using a variety of tools
- Ensure data quality through review and validation with source material
- Analyze both qualitative and quantitative information
- Assist with review and input into ERM programs, policies, and procedures
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed
Education/Technical Expertise/Skills and Abilities
- Undergraduate or Graduate student majoring in a Business Program, Data Science, Cyber Security/Information Security
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, proficiency in SharePoint a plus
- Proficient in manipulation of data in Excel and producing charts, graphs and reports
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work as a supporting team member
- Ability to be flexible, work independently and be self-motivated
- Dependability a must
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
