What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Designer position at Public Content?
Public Content is a Houston-based public relations, marketing, and consulting firm focused on the future. We're a think tank-style incubator with a singular mission: to build brand awareness and increase revenue by combining a healthy mix of media relations – both traditional and social – big picture consultation, community outreach and content creation.
With a client roster that includes City Place, the town of Round Top, River Oaks Shopping Center, Discovery Green, Berg Hospitality, Orange Show Art Car, and more, Public Content is a respected leader in the hospitality, food & beverage, real estate, retail, fashion, arts & entertainment, and innovation space.
The candidate must live in Houston, Texas and will have at least 2 years of experience in graphic design and ideally experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and Webflow. They will work on print material projects, social media graphics, and website updates on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities include:
Create visually appealing and informative designs for marketing collateral, including brochures, flyers, presentations, website graphics, social media posts, email campaigns and other projects as needed.
Maintain and adhere to client brand guidelines, ensuring consistency in visual identity across all platforms.
Design graphics for website updates, landing pages, email marketing campaigns, and social media channels.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Attend meetings and events as needed to take photographs and video.
Demonstrated expertise in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects), Canva, etc.

Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications needed:
1-2 years of graphic design experience
Bachelor’s degree in Art, Graphic Design, Advertising, or comparable program
Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
Determine the best output method based on the customer’s needs
Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work
Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic understanding of Microsoft applications (ie Excel, Teams, Word)
Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Salary ranges starts at $52k, commensurate with experience.
