In this role, under the direction of the VP of Media Relations, this candidate will be responsible for creating highly visible PR campaigns and garnering ongoing press placement for their clients. This includes community engagement and strategic partnership strategy and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have 7 years of paid agency experience, and a demonstrated track record of developing strategic and integrated communications campaigns.

PUBLIC RELATIONS SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGEROverseeing Jr Account Manager and assisting with accountAssist Directors in representing PC at charitable / professional eventsAssists in identifying ways to grow existing accountsRunning accounts without the help of DirectorsLeads internal team kick-off (new clients), and ongoing internal team meetingsLeads account goal settingCoordinates meetings with Clients and Stakeholders, including meeting agendasLeads day-to-day client communicationCreates shot lists and attends photo shoots for editorial assetsManages 30-60-90 rolling planCreates comprehensive pr / event plans for launchesManages media and community outreach and pitching, including outlet deadlinesResponsible for drafting press announcements (before going to PR Sr. Directors) and creating media lists for each clientProactively stay up to date with digital and social trends, monitoring competitors and digital influencer activity across social contentCollects tenant events and promotions for media outreach and develops newsletter content (if applicable)Manages activity report (monthly status update)Expected to take their own notes in meetings as well as sends internal recap to clientsSet up Sharepoint and Dropbox folders for team – oversee maintenance of all client foldersReports to PR VP
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field.Minimum of 7 years of paid agency experience in the field of Public Relations or Marketing.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesExcellent writing skills and experience in writing pitches and press releasesStrong verbal skills and ability to act as spokesperson to news media on behalf of clientAvailable to work flexible hours including evenings and weekendsProficient in MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
- Salary is commensurate with experience, general range is $80-$85k.
