We are currently looking for a Member Service Representative to join our team and help us provide exceptional service to our valued members.
Job Summary:
As a Member Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our members, delivering friendly, professional, and helpful service across a variety of channels. You’ll assist members with their account inquiries, process transactions, and provide them with the information they need to make informed financial decisions. Your goal will be to ensure members have a positive and seamless experience with the credit union.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality service to members in person, over the phone, and through digital channels.
- Assist members with opening new accounts, updating account information, and providing product recommendations that meet their needs.
- Answer member questions regarding account balances, transactions, fees, and other services.
- Educate members on the features and benefits of credit union products and services, such as savings accounts, loans, and online banking.
- Resolve member concerns, complaints, or issues promptly, ensuring a positive outcome.
- Promote credit union products and services to enhance member satisfaction and engagement.
- Maintain confidentiality and safeguard member information in accordance with credit union policies and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest products, services, and promotions offered by the credit union.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in a credit union or bank, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with members.
- Detail-oriented and able to handle financial transactions accurately.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office) and banking software or systems (experience with credit union software is a plus).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- A positive attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
