The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) is recruiting for a full-time permanent Staff Services Analyst (SSA) position in the Employer Account Management Division’s (EAMD) Audit Compliance & Resolution Unit 1(ACRU 1).
EAMD is responsible for CalPERS membership and compensation compliance. The ACRU 1 section is responsible for assisting CalPERS contracted employers with compensation reporting compliance and providing guidance on Written Labor Agreements (WLA), Publicly Available Pay Schedules (PAPS) and Out-of-Class (OOC) validation processes.
The ACRU 1 SSA will be responsible for reviewing CalPERS contracted employer’s Written Labor Agreements (WLA) and Publicly Available Pay Schedules (PAPS) for compensation reporting compliance, interpretation and application of the Public Employees’ Retirement Law (PERL), reconciling payroll reporting errors, reviewing Out-of-Class (OOC) validations for government code compliance and reporting compensation reporting trends and discrepancies to EAMD management. The SSA will also assist with individual CalPERS members compensation compliance, as it relates to pre and post-retirement, as well as providing guidance for employers to resolve compensation reporting audit findings. Limited travel may be required.

Position Details
A: $3,749.00 - $4,698.00
CalHR determines pay range. If you are new to state service, you will be placed at the minimum of the pay range. If a pay has alternate ranges (for example A, B, C), you may qualify for an alternate range based on a review of your education and experience upon appointment.

Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with problem resolution, report writing, analysis and reasoning.
- Proficiency in utilizing personal computer/software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to speak and write effectively and perform completed staff work at all times.
- Ability to meet deadlines while handling multiple tasks with varying time frames and priority levels with attention to detail.
- Experience with customer service skills in communicating effectively and technical correspondence.
