Community Programs Manager (Healthcare)
Heluna Health invites applications for the full-time—temporary Community Programs Manager. Bridge HIV is a grant-funded research unit affiliated with the San Francisco Department of Public Health and the University of California San Francisco. Bridge HIV has been searching for new and innovative ways to fight HIV / AIDS since the onset of the epidemic in the early 1980s. The Bridge HIV Investigators are global leaders in HIV vaccine and prevention science, epidemiology of HIV infection, epidemiology and prevention of other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), HIV medication adherence, combination HIV prevention strategies, HIV / STI prevention in adolescents, HIV research training methods and COVID-19 vaccine research. Under the supervision of the Clinical Research Director, the Community Programs Manager will oversee and manage the community education and recruitment efforts for Bridge HIV.
This is a temporary, grant-funded, full time, benefitted position. Employment is provided by Heluna Health.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Leadership
- Demonstrate strong commitment to anti-racism and health equity.
- In collaboration with Bridge HIV Directors, develop and implement strategic vision for community engagement and recruitment for Bridge HIV.
- Develop community education and recruitment strategies; assess and revise to meet education and recruitment goals, maximizing Community Program budget allocations.
- Manage several program budgets to fund outreach related efforts over the course of the fiscal timeline.
- Actively participate in regular management meetings; build management and leadership skills.
- Represent Bridge HIV on regularly scheduled clinical network conference calls.
- Attend network semi-annual or annual meetings and other related meetings, as needed.
- Organize and lead weekly team meetings.
- Attend All-Staff and Clinical Operations meetings, provide recruitment updates, and ensure attendance from Community Programs team members.
- Foster a cohesive, innovative team environment with open and clear communication and collaboration that promotes excellence.
Study Recruitment Responsibilities
Community Education Responsibilities
o Establish and manage relationships with clinics that serve study populations.
o Develop and provide oral presentations on the Bridge HIV's work and general, study-related topics to community-based organizations and / or their constituents.
o Generate community education content for Bridge HIV's social media channels.
o Train and supervise Community Programs staff on community education content.
o Organize community forums to discuss relevant HIV prevention-related issues.
