JOB OVERVIEW:
The Compliance and Consumer Risk Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Compliance. This individual supports corporate quality goals and performance objectives through supporting programs in achieving regulatory compliance and ensuring participant safety.
The Compliance and Consumer Risk Coordinator will oversee and develop processes to foster compliance and successful audits in PHMC’s programs and subsidiaries and will assist the Senior Director in follow-up and support of participant-related incidents for a limited number of programs/subsidiaries. These include, but are not limited to, developing ongoing audit readiness processes, performing audits, analyzing audit data, developing corrective action plans, staying abreast of regulatory changes, and providing PHMC programs and subsidiaries with training on audit readiness and regulatory changes. This position will also be responsible for reviewing incident reports and conducting follow-ups with participants, programs/subsidiaries.
The Compliance and Consumer Risk Coordinator will act with the authority of a collaborative, evaluation-minded member of the Compliance team and with the acumen to make recommendations to the Lead Compliance Coordinator, and program and affiliate leadership teams.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to incident reports and alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by initiating investigative procedures.
- In partnership with programs/subsidiaries, develop corrective action plans based on findings of significant incidents.
- Coordinate meetings to ensure that action plans are implemented and completed timely.
- Ensure timely response to inquiries from external stakeholders regarding significant incidents and complaints.
- Design audit processes based on regulatory requirements.
- Perform internal quarterly audits on programs/subsidiaries within his/her assigned areas to include: participant chart reviews, policy reviews, and facility tours, in an effort to assist the program in remaining continuously survey-ready.
- Perform focused, just-in-time chart audits prior to an annual external audit for assigned programs/subsidiaries.
- Perform random and ad hoc audits on areas of performance concerns for assigned programs/subsidiaries.
- Analyze audit data and provide recommendations to the Senior Director of Compliance and the program and affiliate leadership teams.
- Develop corrective action plans (CAP) and track results returned to Compliance from programs/subsidiaries.
- Provide results of the CAP to the Lead Compliance Coordinator to monitor the progress and embed follow-up within the program/affiliates’ CQI program.
- Provide support to assigned programs/affiliates during an external audit.
- Provide a summary to key internal stakeholders, summarizing the preliminary results of an external stakeholder.
- Create and execute a process for disseminating regulatory changes and updates to relevant staff.
- Provide training and education on regulations, stakeholder expectations, and the audit and compliance process.
- Develop and foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, in order to establish cooperative working relationships and align resources.
