PHS administers WholeYouNYC (WYNYC), a coordinated community resource network that builds trustworthy and reliable pathways between healthcare providers, health plans and CBOs providing critical resources in the community that address the social drivers of health. WYNYC brings together over 100 organizations offering various programs – such as food, housing, employment, health insurance, and sexual health services – across all five boroughs. These services and programs make it possible for New Yorkers to live their healthiest lives and ultimately reduce health disparities and advance health equity. To date, our network has already impacted thousands of lives through community partnerships and referrals, generating millions in estimated healthcare savings.

New York State (NYS) recently announced the availability of $500M statewide to support Social Care Network (SCN) lead entities responsible for coordinating social care delivery in various regions across the state. Public Health Solutions (PHS) and our WYNYC network were awarded the role of regional SCN for Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.

This is a grant-funded position ending March 31, 2027.

Program Description :

Public Health Solutions seeks a motivated and detail oriented Junior Systems Administrator to assist in managing and maintain our organization's IT infrastructure. This role will support Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 administration, endpoint management, and IT operations while ensuring compliance with security policies. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, possesses strong problem-solving skills, and can collaborate effectively with IT teams and end users.

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Junior Systems Administrator for the following :

Active Directory and Office 365 Administration

  • Assist in managing the Active Directory, including account provisioning, group policies, and security groups.
  • Support the administration of Office 365 applications such as Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange.
  • Help maintain user accounts, licensing, and security policies within Microsoft environments.

Endpoint and Device Management

  • Support corporate laptop deployment, including imaging, patching, and software installation.
  • Assist with mobile device management (MDM) through Microsoft Intune, including iPhone configurations.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for desktop and laptop hardware and software issues.
  • IT Support and Operations

  • Respond to user requests for IT assistance, troubleshooting issues related to Wi-Fi, printers, AV systems (e.g., Zoom), and other corporate IT services.
  • Assist in resolving day-to-day technical issues to ensure business continuity.
  • Work closely with senior IT staff to escalate and resolve complex problems.
  • Asset Management and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software, and licensing.
  • Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures for internal reference.
  • Security and Compliance

  • Follow IT security best practices and assist in implementing security policies.
  • Support security teams in endpoint protection and compliance initiatives.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity

  • Participate in disaster recovery and backup operations as directed by senior IT staff.
  • Assist in testing and maintaining business continuity plans.
  • Collaboration and Learning

  • Work closely with IT teams to gain hands-on experience in enterprise IT management.
  • Attend training sessions and seek certifications to expand technical skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or junior administration role.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server (2012 / 2016 / 2018) and Windows 10 / 11 operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist non-technical users.
  • Salary : $90,000 - $90,000.
  • Desired Skills :

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field and or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or junior administration role.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
