Opened in 1999, JBHH consolidates evaluation, clinical treatment, teaching and research, to offer a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, adults and elderly, including crisis stabilization, inpatient hospitalization, and outpatient programs. In association with the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry, JBHH offers specialized treatment for numerous conditions including depression and mood disorders, schizophrenia, suicidal ideation or behavior, anxiety and panic disorders, drug and alcohol abuse and Alzheimer's disease. JBHH also specializes in criminal justice mental health services.SummaryClinical Social Worker, MSW is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of special research studies related to the provisions of social services, counseling, leadership and policy development while working with adult and pediatric patients. The functions both within the hospital setting and in the satellite clinics.Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorks collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff to design and implement appropriate treatment plans, including discharge plans. Provides professional counseling and therapeutic intervention to patients and / or families utilizing age specific treatment modalities. Collaborates with community agencies which provide services for patients and their families. Leads or co-leads patients groups as needed. Submits statistical reports as required. Participates in orientation and training of social work and interdisciplinary staff. Participates on research projects as required for program planning and evaluation. Maintains current knowledge of social work practice including specific knowledge of age related bio-psychosocial issues. Participates in Committees as assigned. Supervises students.
