Summary
- Physical Therapy Assistant performs technical work with limited supervisory duties administering assigned physical therapy treatments in the rehabilitation department of a county hospital.
- Physical Therapy Assistants perform assigned therapeutic activities pre-determined by Registered Physical Therapists in one or more areas such as exercise, modality or ward.
- An additional responsibility is the supervision of Physical Therapy Aides in the movement of patients and the maintenance of treatment areas and equipment.

Experience
Generally requires 0 to 3 years of related experience.
Education
High school Diploma is Required.
Bachelor's Degree or completion of required internship is Strongly Preferred.
Credentials
Valid Florida license as a Physical Therapy Assistant is required. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and any additional applicable life support certification for Healthcare Providers is required upon hire with at least 6 months validity and maintenance at JHS for the duration of employment.
