Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) provides helps people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other long-term health conditions stay at home and “self-direct” their care. Known as consumer direction in New York, this long-term care model empowers people to take control of who provides their services and where. PPL was selected to be the Statewide Fiscal Intermediary for the New York Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) starting in 2025. We will, along with a diverse alliance of service partners across the state, support the delivery of culturally sensitive and disability competent care to CDPAP participants. This is a NY-based remote position. Candidates must reside in the state of NY.
Title: Director, Quality Improvement - NY
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop, lead, and manage the Quality Improvement (QI) team.
- Establish measurement processes and successful metrics for QI outcomes and services: holding self and the team accountable to achieving measurable goals.
- Lead and oversee approaches and strategies to meet internal and external deliverables per contractual requirements and mitigation offerings.
- Plan, develop, and direct lean processes inclusive of standardizations and automation.
- Identify and utilize audit reporting tools and tracking to define and inform of process and performance opportunities outside of defined internal processes and client contractual requirements.
- Uphold the integrity of audit outcome.
- Provide audit outcome and corrective action transparency for visibility of risk to PPL, external state/MCO clients, consumers and participants, and providers.
- Create internal Change Requests, attend stakeholder meetings, own progression, and testing of final product.
- Cultivate strong partnerships cross-functionally to ensure operational success.
- Solicit internal stakeholder feedback for audit enhancements upon operational team process modification.
- Partner with internal departmental leaders and other stakeholders to pursue new business and recontract for next periods of established business through planning, RFP responses and Orals, contract review, and implementation.
- Demonstrate the spirit of team by actively participating in internal and external project meetings as needed.
- Manage costs and inputs of QI services, eliminating excess resource cost through implementation of lean processes, standardizations, strategic work distribution, and time management.
- Provide effective leadership and communication throughout implementations and other change management environments.
- Foster a high-performing team through hiring and employee coaching/training.
- Maintain a fair, inspiring, healthy team culture.
Required Skills:
- Excellent leadership, management, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with strategic planning, execution and management of internal and external auditing processes and deliverables.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and critically think.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision and on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to lead and build trust through collaboration and coordination with cross functional management teams.
- Ability to partner with other cross functional stakeholders while upholding the integrity of risk mitigation.
- Ability to make tough decisions.
- Ability to pivot, adapt, and champion change management within the QI team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, communication studies or similar area of study.
Experience:
- 4 years of relevant senior management experience, preferably within the quality, operations, or compliance focused role with a proven track record of successfully delivering positive experiences, outcomes and services; 6 years of direct supervisory experience of more than 4 employees.
Certifications:
- Conflict negotiation/mediation is helpful but not required.
- Leadership methodology is helpful but not required.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma is helpful but not required.
Compensation range: $155,000-$175,000
