Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) provides helps people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or other long-term health conditions stay at home and “self-direct” their care. Known as consumer direction in New York, this long-term care model empowers people to take control of who provides their services and where. PPL was selected to be the Statewide Fiscal Intermediary for the New York Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) starting in 2025. We will, along with a diverse alliance of service partners across the state, support the delivery of culturally sensitive and disability competent care to CDPAP participants. Duties & Responsibilities:
Applies demonstrated project management skills to ensure project deliverables and expectations are met on a daily basis.
Remains current on all applicable tax withholding laws, regulations, and requirements for NY State, NY City and Yonkers.
Coordinates and administers multi-state payroll tax compliance, with a primary focus on NYS compliance
Calculates, documents, and validates tax files, remittances and ensure accurate settlement of daily tax deposits.
Reviews regular payroll tax filings to IRS and state agencies, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Maintains and executes work plans to produce accurate, timely year-end information for W-2 through data scrubbing.
Understands W-2 requirements including box 12 reporting and NY state wage reporting
Performs special projects that are designed to explore ways to improve accuracy, efficiency, and the timeliness of timesheet data submission.
Identifies bank reconciliation discrepancies and work with finance staff to execute a solution.
Performs support ticket transaction resolution tasks.
Responds to incoming departmental support tickets to solve outstanding issues, within contract requirements.
Handles employee tax related inquiries.
Manages tax notice response process.
Responsible for account balancing for SUI, FUTA, FICA and SIT.
Establishes and maintains excellent communication with tax agency staff at local, state, and federal levels.
Participate in audits as needed.
Improve processes that will either eliminate or reduce tax notices.
Prepares correspondence to address tax notices and other communications received from clients and tax agencies to resolve outstanding issues.
Performs User Acceptance Testing when need is identified.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience required.
Experience: 1 years progressive experience with automated financial operations center projects, 1 years prior tax; and financial administration experience.
Working Conditions: Office setting/remote with NY state residency requirement

Salary: $65,000 / annually
