Known as consumer direction in New York, this long-term care model empowers people to take control of who provides their services and where. PPL was selected to be the Statewide Fiscal Intermediary for the New York Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) starting in 2025. We, along with a diverse alliance of service partners across the state, will be supporting the delivery of culturally sensitive and disability competent care to CDPAP participants. Duties & ResponsibilitiesHelps strengthen the organization's image in the community by supporting our mission and philosophy. Represents PPL and spreads education and awareness about CDPAP at community outreach events, including underserved communities. Creates and finds opportunities to build awareness or support for CDPAP services and PPL. Connects people to PPL to learn about the CDPAP program. Collaborates cross-functionally with resources, community partners, case managers, etc. to facilitate even stronger service delivery and relationships in the community. Creates and delivers presentations and / or training to case managers, community organizations, and other stakeholders. Actively participates in meetings and discussions about CDPAP services, including in-person advisory and stakeholder committee meetings. Proactively gathers information from stakeholders about CDPAP to ensure PPL is delivering services in a way that meets the needs of consumers and personal assistants.Identifies gaps in services and brings solutions internally to streamline processes or make systems better for stakeholders. Assesses and assists in utilizing available data and how it may be used in the context of our community presence. Provides linkages and referrals from other community-focused programs and organizations to PPL. Collaborates internally to enhance programming for consumers and stakeholders. Attends regional events as necessary to build the PPL brand across the state. Required Skills and AbilitiesStrong interpersonal, engagement, organizational, and time-management skills.
