POSITION: Counselor Technician (11 months yearly)
SALARY: District Salary Schedule – (Grade 56 – Starting Salary $2,785.12 monthly)

GENERAL DUTIES:
Under direct supervision of the Guidance Counselor and School Staff, serves as registrar and handles all clerical aspects of student scheduling, organizing, monitoring, and reporting of grades and test results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prefer Associate Degree and/or previous office experience. All applicants should demonstrate proficient communication skills (verbal and written), knowledge of record keeping techniques and the ability to enter data into computers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist and relieve counselors of paper work and routine chores so they may devote maximum attention to the central matters of counseling individual students.- Types letters, reports, and all clerical work as directed by the counselors.
- Maintain necessary files, records, and logs as determined by the counselors.
- Process transcripts requests on a timely basis and process cumulative records for enrollees, and withdrawals and maintain a record of transactions.
- Assist with the testing program as needed.
- Prepare referral forms with data provided by the counselors.
- Assist students in locating college handbooks, applications, and financial and materials when counselors are not available.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
