REQUIREMENTS :
Completion of 2-year Early Childhood Degree
Valid North Carolina driver's license
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Availability and willingness to work extended hours
Above average interpersonal skills
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Maintains general knowledge of computers, equipment, and related technology devices.
Communicates effectively with staff and students and encourages parental involvement.
Utilizes computers to prepare and maintain various files and records.
Provides instructional assistance to include the planning, facilitation, and implementation of individual and group activities designed to encourage the social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development of children.
Assists with classroom management and supervision.
Adheres to policies and procedures as set forth by the Division of Child Development and Early Education.
Initiates and replies to inquiries or requests via phone or electronic mail.
Assists the teacher in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Performs basic clerical and record-keeping duties.
Participates collaboratively and professionally to promote high quality care and education for each child.
Assists with cleaning and disinfecting of classroom equipment and materials.
Participates in staff development, as required.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
